[ Things are getting back to normal—the ship has been launched back into space and is on its way to a new destination, and Tex is back in her cloned body in the medbay. She ought to be thinking about organizing things and getting school started again, but with the weakness she finds in this body after taking it back over, she knows dealing with students is the last thing that should be on her agenda.

Normally Tex would text a message, but just holding her arm up to type into the MID is exhausting. So she knows this will be unexpected. But it's inevitable, in a way. ]

Hey. I know this might come as a surprise but I'm going to need you to take over the education department for a while.

[Well...yeah, it is. After everything that happened on the planet, he would have expected her to be ready to jump back into something like normalcy.]

A little bit, yeah. Is everything all right with you?

My body was in a coma for a year. I was able to take it back over but it's not in the same condition it was in before the crash.

[ And if there was no indication of it before, the tiredness in her voice should make it clear the reasons. ]

I'm the same way, believe me. I wouldn't have chosen it for myself, but I guess someone knows what they're doing around here. Somehow.
