Associated with treasure, adventure, and derring do, Nathan is a favored god of those who seek more in their life — wealth, excitement, accolades, you name it. Common offerings include trinkets, burnt writings and anything unique and interesting found (not purchased) outside one's home. He has the power to bestow or take away fortune upon his worshippers, and legend has it he may disguise himself to join them on their adventures in the guise of a mortal human.

+ DESCRIPTION

Nate prefers to spend much of the time in his mortal guise. In god form, he is taller, stronger, larger than life as many of his followers believe him to be. However, he also displays an endless patchwork of scars across his skin, and his eyes are utterly black voids — perhaps reflecting some greater losses of parts of himself.

+ DOMAIN

Visitors to Nate's domain will find themselves washing ashore an island whose coastline is constantly changing — it cannot possibly be mapped. Its interior contains everything from an uncharted jungle to a desert to a freezing tundra. There is also a deep cave system, but you never, ever want to go inside.

+ POWERS

-Nate is capable of climbing/ascending anything. Technically he can fly but he really doesn't like to.

-He is capable of positively or negatively manipulating probability when it comes to events in front of him, from deciding the results of a coin flip to starting a chain of events that results in wildly improbable coincidence, for good or for ill.

-He can bestow a blessing of good (or bad - be careful what you wish for) luck upon his worshippers.

-He can identify the most valuable item in a given range. Sentimental value included :)

-He can find whatever treasure he looks for but even as a god, he never gets to keep it.

HISTORY

Once Nate grew old enough that he realized he was starting to forget important things about his wife, brother and best friend, he began to purge many of his own memories. Later on, when he realized he had done so, he eventually tried to get some back. This is a cycle that has continued several times over the centuries. As such, he is fairly hazy about big chunks of the past and has really dived into being sort of a trickster/fortune favors the bold sort of god. He'll bless your hunt for treasure but never gets anything himself except for these stupid divine abilities.
